SPRINT Discovery

Most discovery calls end with a rep who feels good and a deal that has nowhere to go. You liked them, they liked you, and three weeks later the thread goes cold because you never found the problem worth changing for. Good rapport is not discovery. Discovery is knowing the buyer's situation, their real problem, what it costs them to sit still, and what has to happen next, well enough to run the deal without them in the room.

── HOW IT RUNS WITH AI

The Split: the skill does the prep and the scoring, you own the conversation. AI cannot read a room or earn trust. It can make sure you walk in with the right questions and walk out knowing exactly what you missed.

Before the call, the skill builds a discovery agenda across all six SPRINT areas: an opening frame, and question paths for Situation, Problem, Risks, Impact, Next steps, and Timeline, with the 5 Whys laddered into the Problem path so you drive to root cause instead of stopping at the symptom. It flags what you already know from CRM or past calls so you do not waste the buyer's time re-asking.

After the call, paste the notes or drop the transcript, and the skill scores the conversation against the SPRINT Discovery Scorecard: each of the six areas rated covered, partial, or missing, with the specific gap called out and a follow-up question written to close it. It tells you whether you have a deal or a nice chat, and what to send next. You bring the listening. It brings the rigor.

── STEAL IT

Take your next discovery call on the calendar. Run the six SPRINT paths as your agenda instead of your usual questions, and score the call against the scorecard the same day, while it is fresh. If any of the six comes back missing, you know your one follow-up before the deal cools.
