Every skill works on paste. Connect your tools and it goes live.
You never have to connect anything: hand a skill your data in the chat and it runs. But connect your CRM, product analytics, call recorder, or warehouse and the same skill pulls live, cross-references sources, and goes deeper, no code required.
Paste-first
Export a CSV, copy an account list, drop in a transcript. The skill tells you exactly what it needs and runs on what you give it. Nothing to install.
Connected
Connect your stack once. Now the skill pulls the live record, joins product usage to the deal, reads the actual call, and writes back, without you moving data by hand.
In Claude
- 1Open the + menu at the bottom of any chat and choose Connectors to see what is connected and add more.
- 2Or go to Settings and open Connectors / Extensions to browse the directory of reviewed tools.
- 3For a tool that is not in the directory, add its remote MCP server URL as a custom connector and authorize with one click.
- 4Ask your question. Claude uses the connected tool to pull live data instead of what you paste.
In ChatGPT
- 1Open Settings and go to Apps (connectors). Pick the app and authorize it on that service's page.
- 2In a chat, click the Tools icon and choose Use connectors for quick pulls, or Deep research for bigger jobs.
- 3Select the connected apps as sources, then ask your question.
- 4Note: connectors need a paid plan (Plus, Team, Enterprise, or Edu) and are limited in some regions.
Connections use each tool's own login (OAuth). You approve access, most reads are read-only, and you can disconnect any tool at any time. Menu names shift as both apps ship updates; if a label moved, look for “Connectors,” “Apps,” or “Extensions” in settings.
